Abstract
As part of a review paper, we examined the relationship between score on a measure of psychological distress, reported history of seeing a psychiatrist for anxiety or depression, and score on a measure of neuroticism and risk of suicide in 449,073 UK Biobank participants. Suicide occurred more frequently in those who at the initial assessment survey had high levels of distress, scored high in neuroticism and had a history of seeing a psychiatrist.1 Author
